Luka Doncic is averaging around 20 ppg on 59% TS. Nobody under the age of 20 has ever averaged those numbers.
If you go up to age 20: Anthony Davis, Shaquille O'Neal, Adrian Dantley
The only other 19 year old to average 19+ ppg and 6+ reb is Melo, who did it on much lower efficiency.

He’s pretty good.
[–][CLE] Kyrie Irving Sektsioon 923 points 9 hours ago
Funny thing is he’s shooting FTs much worse than he did in Europe. He’s in low 70s right now, if he shot his usual 80+% from the line, his TS% would be 60+.
[–]Mavericks Westerlos 43 points 8 hours ago
He’s been trending up. There was a couple of games early on where he bricked like half his free throws. He’s been solid since.
[–]EthanSpears 43 points 6 hours ago
Eh, he is a rookie. Give him time.
[–]ours-stress-refugee 1133 points 8 hours ago
It's hard to adjust to the American FT line
[–]Hawks daeve 923 points 8 hours ago
just ask Ben Simmons
[–]Raptors Toronto416ix 556 points 7 hours ago
He's gotta figure out which hand to shoot with first
[–]Warriors datouch 104 points 7 hours ago
[–]76ers yantraa 59 points 6 hours ago
Not that easy. You have to realize he is from Australia. Everything is reversed there so he probably doesn't even know hes using the wrong hand right now.
[–]Hawks daeve 28 points 7 hours ago
It's hard to adjust to American handedness
[–][LAC] Shai Gilgeous-Alexander norse95 24 points 6 hours ago
Here in America we jerk off with our right hands ONLY
[–]Trail Blazers probably2high 9 points 4 hours ago
Oh sure, like the American guy is going to use a mouse in his left hand. Come on.

[–]TooClutchForLunch 100 points 4 hours ago
Actually this means Little LeBron in balkan languages
[–]carismo 55 points 4 hours ago
yea I’m from Croatia so I know this.
[–]NBA moboization_28 46 points 3 hours ago
so Doncic means Little Don
[–]Raptors Soularion 609 points 9 hours ago
The only rookies who have ever averaged 18/6/4 on league average TS% ae Kareem, Jordan, Oscar Roberson and Magic.
Admittedly, Luca's numbers aren't as good as any of those guys, but it's extremely rare to see a rookie this well-rounded.
[–]Mavericks DirkNowitzkisWife 286 points 8 hours ago
Lebron was 20.9/5.5/5.9, Luka is at 19.8/6.5/4.4
I think it wouldn’t be unreasonable for Luka to be at 20/7/5.5 by the end of the year.
[–]Mavericks warpedspoon 234 points 8 hours ago
I don't know if he'll start getting more rebounds. His assists should definitely come up and turnovers down as he gets more used to his teammates and the speed of the game.
[–]Raptors Soularion 108 points 7 hours ago
LeBron was also wildly inefficient as a rookie; 49% TS, while Luca is at around 58-59%.
Luca's actually pretty insane.
[–]76ers allinasecond 132 points 7 hours ago
If LeBron would enter the league now as a rookie his numbers would be way higher.
[–]Lakers We_Are_Grooot 53 points 6 hours ago
Also while Doncic is by no means old for a rookie (he's just 19), lebron was still a year younger coming in. He put up 27-7-7 in his 19-20 season.
[–]BudotsKing 34 points 5 hours ago
Lebron is a legit MVP contender at 19. Fucking crazy. I was a kid back then and I took the greatness I am witnessing for granted. Didnt realize at that time how Lebron was too young to ever be doing the things he is doing.
[–]Suns nickricci11 6 points 3 hours ago
Ayton is literally averaging 16/11/3.5 on 61 TS%
[–]Celtics Sesleri 290 points 7 hours ago
Andrew Wiggins getting max money for ~20 pts on 49% TS lol.
[–]Grizzlies seKer82 136 points 6 hours ago
Wiggins is missing the easiest thing to develop in the NBA .. effort. So sad to see that talent go to waste.
[–]Magic Tankwagonbmalbert81 96 points 5 hours ago
Wiggins the king of the 20-1-1 line
[–][NYK] Baron Davis themariokarters 367 points 9 hours ago
Not really surprised. Best player in the second-best league in the world
[–]Celtics rajistheman69420 321 points 9 hours ago
Third best league***
Show some respect to the JBA /s
[–]76ers EfficientJellyfish 83 points 9 hours ago
Might become the 4th best if a Ball joins the G-League
[–]Lakers xNephew 589 points 9 hours ago
Is Luka already better than Ingram ?
[–]Lakers swagdaddy912 1178 points 9 hours ago
[–][CLE] LeBron James Scatteredbrain 56 points 9 hours ago
trae young is already better then ingram (no offense lakers fans)
[–]Raptors fabrar 157 points 7 hours ago
I like Lakers younguns but Luka is already better than every single one of them. I still think Ingram has the potential to be a star player though.
[–]Lakers RmooreChuckECheese 220 points 9 hours ago
We struck out with our two picks
[–]Lakers swagdaddy912 326 points 9 hours ago
Lol the Lakers have drafted role players with all their picks
[–]Mavericks LeoFireGod 83 points 8 hours ago
not everyone can be danny ainge ok.
[–]Pacers mcshkan 16 points 7 hours ago
Is Ingrams ceiling really only as a roleplayer? Just curious i havent watched him much. Lakers fans seemed to think much higher of him than that this summer
[–]Nuggets Cherniymazov 62 points 9 hours ago
Watching Ingram try to post up Kyle Lowery was hilarious.
[–]Lakers RmooreChuckECheese 77 points 9 hours ago
I don't get it how hard is it to gain weight with elite training, nutritional advice, and coaching?
[–]Clippers PMinisterOfMalaysia 77 points 7 hours ago
He is definitely expected to be more than a role player. Not sure why a Lakers fan would imply otherwise.
[–][LAL] Steve Nash DetectiveCactus 14 points 6 hours ago
So many Laker fans hate him. I dont know why. His rookie year was underwhelming, but he looks really good.
[–]peppermintpattymills 98 points 8 hours ago
Jesus are you guys already dismissing Lonzo and Ingram? They're still kids. Young players have different trajectories.
[–]Hawks nerdyintentions 56 points 7 hours ago
People overreact so much. Couple weeks ago everyone was talking about Ingram possibly making a leap. Now they've "struck out" by picking him. The season isn't even a month old yet. Let em play a bit.
[–]Cavaliers Nazcai 58 points 7 hours ago
If these dudes were gms jimmy butler and curry wouldn’t have made 3 years in the nba lmao
[–][GSW] Draymond Green jthc 61 points 8 hours ago
I thought he'd be an assist man like Simmons with a shot, but the dude is a natural scorer.
[–]mavericks fan1000 223 points 9 hours ago
And some thought college ball would be better for him. LMAO.
[–]Clippers clayfu 45 points 7 hours ago
"He's too slow for NBA speed. This isn't the Euroleague"
[–][POR] Damian Lillard Familyguy35 62 points 9 hours ago
I underrated him. Good for him and the Mavs
[–]Quantumsystem00 238 points 9 hours ago
Roy definitely unless trae Young has a Steve Nash year with those assists and shooting
[–]Celtics rajistheman69420 188 points 9 hours ago
You don’t think ayton has a chance?
[–]Mavericks Squirrel_Dude 85 points 8 hours ago
It's possible, but big men haven't been winning RoY awards recently. Since 2008 (when Kevin Durant was drafted to the Supersonics), a non-guard has only won the award twice. Karl Anthony Towns and Blake Griffin.
KAT's 2015: 18.3 pts 10.4 rbs 2.0 ast
Griffin's 2010: 22.5 pts 12.1 rbs 3.8 ast
Ayton so far: 15.9 pts 10.9 rbs 3.4 ast
He's got a shot.
Note: Wiggins and Durant won but they were both listed as shooting guards.
[–]Warriors MacDerfus 13 points 5 hours ago
GOATS get picked 3rd, it's a rule.
[–]Cavaliers dennydiamonds 37 points 9 hours ago
Our rookie is good too... Oh wait.. Our rookie has potential... Oh wait... We got Collin Sexton...
