[Post Game Thread] The Los Angeles Lakers (23-19) defeat the Detroit Pistons (17-22) 113 - 100 behind Kuzma Bryant's 41 points!
[–][LAL] Lonzo Ball dantehuncho 253 points 3 hours ago
2-0 since Kobe told y’all to shut the fuck up
[–][LAL] Nick Young TheChipiboy 41 points 2 hours ago
Honestly, those few games where we lost to the Knicks felt like we LA was burning down. People we're tripping over every single thing in the Lakers organization.
[–]Lakers AmnestyTHAT 23 points 2 hours ago
We should have won that game in Sacramento and against the Knicks... I'm still salty.
[–]LaMystika 7 points 2 hours ago
To be fair, they shouldn't have lost to the Knicks
[–][LAL] Nick Young TheChipiboy 5 points an hour ago
I feel you, but to think we could have been 5-5 without Bron if we won those close games isn't too bad
[–]Pistons majesrant 58 points 3 hours ago
I don’t even have the words to explain how angry this team makes me. The effort is nonexistent and laughable. To top that off, we aren’t fucking trash enough to be a top lottery team and we’re also stuck with absolute terrible contracts.
DETROITTTTTTTTTT BASKETBALLLLLLLL! Woooo!
[–]Questionable_Ethics2 19 points 3 hours ago
Is Blake usually that pouty
[–]Lakers fuckthenbamods2 41 points 3 hours ago
Dude kept getting doubled and always made a smart pass to an open man, but his supporting cast is terrible outside of a few guys. I'd be pouting too.
[–]Heat colourofinfinity 299 points 3 hours ago
Really love the versatility in Kuzma's scoring: can create off the dribble, take it to the hoop, shoot from the perimeter. He's got a bright future, as a scorer especially
[–]Lakers daveed1297 161 points 3 hours ago
Don't forget floaters and hook shots. His scoring package is really diverse.
[–]Lakers Jahhaps 57 points 3 hours ago
His baby hook is so smooth and pretty
[–]Knicks EndQuick 8 points 3 hours ago*
He might be the next mamba for the yellow and gold
[–]Rice tearspopss 13 points 3 hours ago
Kuzma 41 pts, no assists. Kobe approves
[–]Lakers raginghardon420 129 points 3 hours ago
Kuzma goes #1 in a redraft
[–]NBARareSir 33 points 3 hours ago
41 in 3 quarters, thats a damn good peformance. Kuz has promise for sure.
[–]Knicks EndQuick 30 points 3 hours ago
He's definitely the best of the young core
[–][LAL] Brandon Ingram magmaknuckles 101 points 3 hours ago
just don't play him center lmao
[–][LAL] Jerry West blancs50 52 points 3 hours ago
OMG, soooo glad that nightmare is over.
[–][LAL] Kobe Bryant Snackoff 54 points 3 hours ago
It's quite reasonable to think that in his prime he can be a 22/7/3 guy on like 58% TS. That's a borderline all star and yet all people do is complain about his ceiling.
[–]Lakers SchroodingersDawg 45 points 2 hours ago
For a little over the past month he is averaging pretty close to those numbers actually.
He’s at 21/7/3 on 56.5% TS not counting tonight’s performance, which would probably get him to about 58% TS.
Kuzma has been outplaying most other young talent. He’s easily been better than all of Mitchell, Tatum, Brown, DSJ, Murray yet he gets relatively no respect.
[–]Lakers mournthewolf 16 points 2 hours ago
He's only gonna get better when Lebron gets back too. He's stepped up his game with Lebron out, but it was not hard to see that Lebron made him a better player. With how he's playing now and Lebron facilitating he could go off.
[–]Lakers cottagecheese24 19 points 3 hours ago
He's improved so much since last season and he's currently in a 3pt shooting slump haha
[–]Lakers henstobs11 11 points 2 hours ago*
He turns 24 in July w̶h̶e̶n̶ ̶w̶e̶'̶r̶e̶ ̶h̶o̶p̶e̶f̶u̶l̶l̶y̶ ̶s̶t̶i̶l̶l̶ ̶p̶l̶a̶y̶i̶n̶g̶ I'm a dumbass. Players usually reach their prime at 27-29 and giving Kuzma at least 3 more years to develop doesn't sound too bad given that he's playing with LeBron/Rondo/Ball that will help him improve his game.
Don't know why the immediate response to him is he's too old when he's producing consistently and better than a lot of young guys. People act like he's 26 or some shit
[–]Lakers dxidaniel 21 points 3 hours ago
His defense was pretty good this game too. He held his own against Blake.
[–]heybrositsmeagain 32 points 3 hours ago
They told me Kuzma wasn't going to improve anymore
[–][LAL] Brandon Ingram comptonderozan 237 points 3 hours ago
He’s 23 which means he’s almost 30, don’t be delusional. I’d much rather young and fresh Donovan Mitchell whos only 22.
[–]Lakers 12D3 81 points 3 hours ago
Yeah, and 22 is like 18. So that’s a 12 year difference between Kuz and Mitchell. You got one guy at the beginning of his career and one at the end. No contest.
[–][LAL] Brandon Ingram comptonderozan 71 points 3 hours ago
Same to be honest I just find it funny how this sub talked like one was ancient and the other was young when they’re only months apart.
[–]Lakers Tr0janSword 53 points 3 hours ago
Kuz our there balling like Kobe
Also, fuck Bruce Brown
[–]Lakers tacoTs 297 points 3 hours ago
they only wanted some tacos
[–]Lakers Edgar_Allen_Swol 15 points 3 hours ago
No tacos for you sluts
[–]Lakers Skorua 82 points 3 hours ago
RIP free tacos
[–]Lakers Dr_Procrastinator 14 points 3 hours ago
Literal boos and the end of the game lmao
[–]Knicks EndQuick 33 points 3 hours ago
smh, Brown tried harder on that last play than every other play tonight
[–]Lakers EvenGandhiHatesLVG 25 points 3 hours ago
Brown Public enemy #1 in LA
[–][LAL] Kobe Bryant jimmcdermont 127 points 3 hours ago
Got 0 tacos in honor of Blake's 0 boards
[–][MIL] Giannis Antetokounmpo WIN011 46 points 3 hours ago
Holy shit how do you have 0 boards in 37 minutes
[–]Raptors kalebdabomb 27 points 3 hours ago
first game in Blake griffin's career he hasn't gotten at least 1 rebound
[–]Suns notouchmypeterson 46 points 3 hours ago
WE ALL HAD THE SAME AMOUNT OF REBOUNDS AS BLAKE GRIFFIN
[–]Lakers gyxorz 10 points 3 hours ago
Makes up for all the times he murdered us in his Clippers days.
[–]Lakers LABiH 171 points 3 hours ago
Everybody is gonna talk about Kyle 'Big Dick' Kuzma's performance but I just want to give a shoutout to Michael 'B-Easy' Beasley who once again played a beautiful game of basketball tonight.
[–][LAL] Kyle Kuzma ablackcloudupahead 21 points 3 hours ago
Honestly, Zo also had a great game even though his stats arent eye popping. He was the motor on O and D
[–]Lakers unklebuckets 29 points 3 hours ago
Please give a shout out to Lonzo ‘big-baller’ ball as well, he had the whole offence running tonight.
[–]Lakers Ijustquaffed 58 points 3 hours ago
Didn't shoot well, but Zo with a +24. Was the floor general out there
[–][NYK] Jeremy Lin hatmano 222 points 3 hours ago
Glad to see Beasley still a walking bucket
[–]Lakers FoxHoundM 27 points 3 hours ago
michael jordan beasly too
[–]Seminole_War 4 points 2 hours ago
Remember when he was on the Heat in 2015 and he played 48 minutes in the last game of the season and almost dropped a triple double. 34/11/8 on 27 shots against the sixers
[–]Lakers unklebuckets 53 points 3 hours ago
I want to know if he still kicks LeBrons ass when they play one on one
[–]Lakers henstobs11 27 points 3 hours ago
Bron's not really much of a 1v1 player tho. Wouldn't be surprised if that was true lol
[–][LAL] Jerry West blancs50 35 points 3 hours ago
Bron is a great ISO scorer, he's just so much more. On that note, I was impressed with Beasley's passing while the game was competitive (he was ball hog in garbage time, but its his Bday, so whatevs). Didn't know he had that vision & honestly think he deserves a chance to steal stephenson's minutes when Bron comes back.
[–][LAL] Jerry West blancs50 24 points 3 hours ago
Drummond hoarded boards but struggled to find the bottom of the net.
Didn't get enough attention, but Zubac in the 2nd half did SUCH A GOOD JOB on drummond. Our Zu was battling his heart out & absolutely kept Drummond off the offensive glass. 5 orb in the 1st half vs 1 oreb in the 2nd half. His defensive rotations were solid & he ran the floor hard. Great game.
[–][LAL] Brandon Ingram puddingpupp 24 points 3 hours ago
Yeah Zubac has really impressed me overall lately. Seems confident and hungry. Wished he had shown it earlier in the season but happy he's showing it now.
[–][LAL] Lonzo Ball RedsAnatomy 9 points 3 hours ago
Last year Zubac was genuinely horrible too, idk what the hell happened.
