Y’all need to apologize to the Pacers immediately
[–]Celtics Bender22 75 points 5 hours ago
EXACTLY, they were awesome all season
[–][BOS] Shaquille O'Neal gda19 2792 points 5 hours ago
We never scored this easily against the pacers
[–][BOS] Jaylen Brown JB7FTW 45 points 5 hours ago
Pacers had better guard play, and Myles Turner was quick to contest/block a lot of our drives. Bucks perimeter defense was awful so we didn't even need to drive much.
[–]Tony Soprano300 77 points 5 hours ago
I feel people were a bit too quick to shit on how tough the Pacers were. Say what you will about their offense but that was an elite gritty defensive team that knew how to put tremendous pressure on in transition. A tough series like that prepared Boston much better for the Bucks
[–]Raptors InstaBuyout 925 points 5 hours ago
Bucks looked shook
[–]Wizards Vswerve27 60 points 5 hours ago
Seriously so many open 3's for the Celtics tonight. Bucks defensive scheme is just not good against the Celtics they will have to adjust.
[–]Celtics falsenaga1 658 points 5 hours ago
"Who cares about the Celtics defense, it's the Oladipo-less Pacers"
[–]Knicks RobbobertoBuii 76 points 5 hours ago*
Even though people have been shitting on you all year, you guys are still doing well
and you guys match up surprisingly well against the Bucks and the 76ers (Raptors are about even with you guys)
all the Celtics need to do for 48 minutes is for everyone to get along and they're gonna be pretty tough to beat
EDIT: still hate the celtics but im rooting for the celtics to take down the bucks
[–][LAC] Bill Walton PMinisterOfMalaysia 74 points 5 hours ago
Celtics fans have been shitting on the Celtics just as much as everyone else lol
[–][BOS] Kyrie Irving frankdotto 53 points 5 hours ago
The talent was never the issue for this team, it was consistency and chemistry. If we keep that going throughout the playoffs we can beat anyone but it’s a big if.
[–]Celtics GO30tv 430 points 5 hours ago
The Pacers defence was underrated. Granted it only worked for like 3/4 of a game before they got gassed, but it was a fucking grind it out game for those 3/4.
[–]imdonewiththisshite 112 points 5 hours ago*
If only Pacers had a superstar like Giannis
[–]Raptors carofdoom123 102 points 5 hours ago
if pacers had dipo it could have been to game 6 for the celtics
[–]76ers fuckareyousaying 397 points 5 hours ago
Just like we all predicted
[–]Cavaliers remorse667 212 points 5 hours ago
did we forget what happened last year? Don't sleep on Boston xD
[–]Clippers Throwaway4PervyShit 1017 points 6 hours ago
The doubt and disrespect towards the Celtics this year reminds me of last year when the Celtics were just seen as a hurdle to the ECF.
I hate being counted out too, get em C’s!
[–][BOS] Kelly Olynyk Slayer_Of_Anubis 885 points 6 hours ago
That means a lot coming from the best team in LA
[–]Raptors InstaBuyout 42 points 5 hours ago
Gotta give stevens credit
[–]Mavericks VictorAkwaowo1 1354 points 6 hours ago
How the fuck was I this wrong about the Celtics
[–]Wizards mystini 283 points 6 hours ago
They have one of the best (maybe the best) playoff coaches in the league, a legit superstar, and a bunch of different tools to adapt to a wide variety of teams. They're never to be underestimated.
[–]Celtics popop143 83 points 5 hours ago
Thanks, but I still think Pop is still the best playoff coach. They almost took down the 2-seed in the West yesterday. But Brad's schemes arr still sexy, I agree.
[–]Knicks alx69 1144 points 6 hours ago
Nothing says “regular season is meaningless” like a 49 win team stealing home court from a 60 win team in 48 minutes.
[–]colosusx1 344 points 6 hours ago
Lebron already taught us that these last 8 years. Chicago, Indiana, Atlanta, Boston, Toronto. Didn't matter to him.
[–]Celtics ward0630 772 points 6 hours ago
To use an old LeBron-ism, why work hard for home court advantage for 82 games when you can take it in 1?
[–]Heat smoltanboi 6759 points 5 hours ago
as someone who shares a dorm room with 3 celtics fans, i just want to say that this was the worst afternoon of my life
[–]Bulls foursteez 3745 points 5 hours ago
Boston fans being happy is always the worst tbh
[–]Celtics CaptainGronk69 3197 points 5 hours ago
Dude come on...we haven’t had a championship parade in MONTHS
[–]Celtics 1337speak 404 points 5 hours ago
It's been too long man, everyday has been a struggle since
[–]OTheOwl 308 points 4 hours ago
I had a daughter in february, poor child has not experienced a Boston duckboat parade yet!
[–]swagginball-z 254 points 4 hours ago
I’m praying Boston sweeps all 4 titles this year. Nothing would make my New York friends saltier
[–]Spurs Nomnomzilla 188 points 5 hours ago
I honestly don’t really hate Boston sports teams themselves. It’s just Boston fans that are unbearable.
[–]76ers HandRailSuicide1 167 points 6 hours ago
Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to grow up a Boston sports fan
[–]NBA inshamblesx 110 points 6 hours ago
Watching other fans wanting you to lose
[–][HOU] Otto Moore AnnPerkinsTitJuice 1901 points 5 hours ago
This might hurt the Bucks chances of winning in 4
[–]Raptors Puddinsnack 17 points 4 hours ago
If the Bucks end up being the 2014-15 Hawks I’ll be so confused.
[–][TOR] Delon Wright DelonWright 205 points 6 hours ago
Budenholzer is a regular season coach and it showed tonight
[–][TOR] Kawhi Leonard SamiMadeMeDoIt 253 points 6 hours ago
And we know a thing or two about regular season coaches
[–]Celtics MakeAnArk 40 points 6 hours ago
Stop, Dwane Casey' already eliminated!
[–]Celtics OpinionatedCanadian 356 points 6 hours ago
Giannis had an off night but the Celtics really exposed the Bucks offensive weaknesses today. Even though he wasn’t hitting all his shots the Celtics were shutting him down on his way to the rim like no other team has done — a lot of credit to Brad Stevens.
[–]Lakers dandeman4 2324 points 5 hours ago
you have an entire week to gameplan for a team that’s doubled Giannis and stonewalled him in the post with bigger players, and you don’t make a single adjustment to your gameplan? boston played defense the same way they have all season. what the fuck was this coaching job by Bud?
[–]Celtics Thesolly180 183 points 6 hours ago
Just seemed no adjustments were really made to help Giannis through the game
[–][CLE] LeBron James F0rdPrefect 129 points 5 hours ago
Yeah, just go back and watch how they played Lebron. It's the same defense. No surprises. And yet Giannis looked exposed.
[–]Thunder DzeSteez 207 points 5 hours ago*
Lebron is a far better shooter and facilitator and has seen every kind of defence in the post season, and is an all time great so a little tough to compare
[–]Celtics cadgers 39 points 6 hours ago
All-Star Al has arrived
[–]Celtics KronoS275 46 points 6 hours ago
Horford's blocks make me moist.
[–][BOS] Jaylen Brown cyanwaw 937 points 5 hours ago
Honestly I did not expect at all that Alfred Horford would shut down Giannis like that
[–]76ers hehehehahahaha 63 points 5 hours ago
He’s like that old dude that just sons the younger players
[–]Celtics clesp08 662 points 5 hours ago
The more glaring issue for me was the fact that Horford started off getting open looks, and continued to get open looks all game. It’s like because he started off slow, they just assumed he wouldn’t torch them on wide open shots.
[–]Celtics popop143 178 points 5 hours ago
They simply should have played close to Horford, he won't shoot a contested shot. Though he'll find a good pass, that's better than leaving Big Al open.
[–][NJN] Brook Lopez jaygeeiii 735 points 5 hours ago
The bucks miss brogdon. They lack steady and dynamic players who can break down a defense. He is the only player on the team that can both drive at will and shoot.
I dont know how much of this is on Bud. Matchups will always matter in the NBA and this Boston team is a bad matchup
[–]Celtics rveets1416 348 points 5 hours ago
Brogdon is the Celtics killer. He always opens things up for them against us.
[–][BOS] Jaylen Brown FreshPrinceofBel-Air 261 points 5 hours ago
I thought that was Khris Middleton
[–]Raptors pleasefeedthedino 239 points 5 hours ago
If your championship hopes rest on Malcolm Brogdon, you aren't going to get very far. Middleton and Bledsoe have to be able to pick up the slack.
[–]Celtics DavidTheTank 83 points 5 hours ago
I do not want another series having to deal with Middleton shooting 60% from 3. That shit was traumatic
[–][CLE] Kyrie Irving anuj123456 18 points 5 hours ago
Kyrie did such an amazing job at pacing the offense. His ability to give his team rest on offensive positions is so underrated.
[–][BOS] Kyrie Irving mralex289 1677 points 6 hours ago*
KYRIE UNDEFEATED IN THE PLAYOFFS WITHOUT LEBRON
[–]Raptors DwaneCaseysSuit 507 points 6 hours ago
[–]Clippers jcw4455 267 points 6 hours ago
Well, LeBron hasn't lost a playoff game as a Laker so there.
[–]Clippers atomic_pluot 14 points 5 hours ago
Would you say best Laker of all time. Magic, Kareem, Kobe never went undefeated
[–][BOS] Jaylen Brown Jaylen- 157 points 6 hours ago
Gee, who would have thought adding Kyrie to your team in the playoffs makes you a better team than last year.
[–]Heat Dudeiscray 15 points 5 hours ago
Playoff Kyrie and Playoff Kawhi are back and hungry
[–]Rockets __john_cena__ 24 points 5 hours ago
If Boston makes it to the finals, why in the hell would Kyrie leave for New York just to play second fiddle to KD?
